#### **SAGC Expands Spatial Biology Collaboration with SAiGENCI Through Addition of Bruker NanoString CosMx SMI**

##### Spatial Proteomics + Transcriptomics with nanometre-scale mapping precision

The South Australian Genomics Centre (SAGC) is expanding our spatial biology collaboration with the [South Australian immunoGENomics Cancer Institute (SAiGENCI)](https://www.adelaide.edu.au/saigenci/) at Adelaide University, with the addition of **Bruker's NanoString Spatial Technologies** to the SAGC service portfolio.

With the inclusion of NanoString’s **CosMx Spatial Molecular Imager (SMI)**, alongside existing spatial platforms from **10x Genomics** and **MGI STOmics**, the SAGC now offers the **most comprehensive Spatial Multiomics service in Australia**, competitively priced to support both academic and industry research.

CosMx SMI is a high-plex, imaging-based spatial platform that enables **same-cell multiomics**, combining RNA and protein detection within individual cells. RNA assays are available across **1K, 6K, and 19K (whole transcriptome)** gene panels, with **72-plex protein panels** that include **human immunotherapy** and **mouse neuroscience** research. The platform is compatible with both **FFPE and fresh-frozen (FF)** tissue, supporting a wide range of experimental designs and sample types.

This expanded spatial capability is further strengthened through close integration with onsite histology and microscopy services, ensuring end-to-end support from sample preparation through to data analysis support.

*“Spatial multi-omics is becoming essential for translational and clinic focused research. By making Bruker NanoString technologies available through the SAGC, we’re giving researchers access to a broad suite of spatial tools, supported by expert staff and validated workflows, so the right technology can be applied to the right biological question.”*

*Professor Christopher Sweeney, Director, SAiGENCI*

The addition of Bruker's NanoString technologies complements SAGC’s established spatial genomics portfolio, reinforcing our commitment to delivering **advanced**,** flexible, and accessible spatial multiomics solutions** for the research community.
